Animal Welfare League’s Pets of the Homeless – Nowra
Pets of the Homeless program is an initiative of the Shoalhaven Branch of the Animal Welfare League, in conjunction with Shoalhaven Homeless Hub, Salt Ministries and the RSPCA Nowra Volunteer Branch.
Once a month, a free vet day is held at The Homeless Hub in Junction Street, Nowra to give the homeless community a chance to bring their animals along to receive free expert medical advice and treatment for any health issues their animal may have and to have microchipping done. Microchipping is supplied free of charge and the cost for compulsory council animal registration fees are covered for desexed animals by the Nowra RSPCA.
Donations of dried dog food, blankets, toys or financial donations are always appreciated.
To find out more or to support this excellent program please contact the Shoalhaven Animal Welfare League on 0429 429 885, or see the South Coast Registers profile of the program.
